It has been about 3 weeks since I got back from this epic journey. However, I returned home to an ever growing pile in the in-tray and never-ending emails, it feels like punishment for enjoying life. Anyway, I’ve finally graduated and part of the celebrations (or lackthereof), my university mates planned a trip to Australia, with my man tagging along.
So here’s an update of Belle so far from where we last left off.
It turned out that the SGD$3K kindly contributed by CAS to Belle was not enough, as the total cost of surgery plus hospitalisation amounted up to SGD10K, which means there is still SGD7K which still needs to be paid. That is an astronomical sum for us! Thankfully, Noah’s Ark CARES (another animal welfare group in Singapore) decided to take up Belle’s case, and before we know it, Belle is being whisked off to surgery.
To my dearest Sephora,
After all the commotion of the day before, I wasn’t expecting very much for Valentines’. My man giving me a pebble (a shiny one) to signify his love (ya know, like penguins), was more than anything I can ask for. So after having lunch with my mum and uncles, I was quite surprised that he has booked a table for dinner. But, before that, we had some time to kill. We decided to make our way down to The Cats Museum, located at Purvis Street. Finding a parking lot was quite a hassle, but it was really worth it.
I still can’t believe that this just happened over the weekend.
My man has been bugging me to go to an island, off the coast of Singapore, called Coney Island. It’s a place for off road cycling, mosquitoes and sand flies. Of course, it’s a perfect place for photo shoots as well, since until recently, this island has been relatively untouched and unreachable by the public.
Ok, this post might be a little late as it happened one the first week of January, but here it is, I FINALLY GOT MY BRACES OFF! Yes! The day I’ve spent the last 1 year plus, waiting for. Of course, I’ve grown somewhat attached to them, and I couldn’t wait for that day to finally come.
